Arriving from the levee
The trail ends at the decommissioned Gretna ferry terminal. Follow the driveway down the levee and the Jefferson Memorial Arch comes directly into view.
Nearby landmarks include Old Gretna City Hall, the former train-depot market sheds, and the David Crockett Volunteer Fire Company complex.
Make time to linger
Restaurants and casual eateries are clustered near the end of the trail and beyond the arch. Benches along the riverfront provide the same unhurried pleasure found in Algiers Point.
Public opening hours for small museums and historic buildings can be limited. Confirm access before making any one attraction the purpose of the ride.
Neighborhood guidance reviewed July 2026. Confirm time-sensitive schedules, access, and business hours before departure.
